Since it first opened in 2003, Benares Restaurant and Bar has earned a reputation as one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Visitors enter a classy lounge with hand-crafted furniture with Indian influences, which is matched by a lovely pond accented with fresh flowers, creating an opulent look. Use the services of Berkeley Square's fine-dining Benares if you reside in Mayfair but for whatever reason don't have your own personal curry chef. The overpriced curry restaurant is now delivering its delicious food, and for every meal you order, it will donate one to a frontline NHS employee.

Benares features four private dining rooms, three of which are located around the lounge: the Berkeley Room, which can accommodate up to 16 people; the Sommeliers Table, which can accommodate up to 10 people; and the Chefs Table, which can accommodate up to 8 people and looks out over the kitchen. The main dining room, which has seating for up to 80 people, is connected to the lounge area. On the other side of the main dining room is the Dover room, which has the largest private dining space and can accommodate up to 36 people.

This chic restaurant and first-floor cocktail lounge combine traditional Indian elements with contemporary decor. Expect to see plenty of gleaming black granite, flowers, odd antiquities, and water tanks in the style of the Mughals. The location draws high rollers, including businessmen on expense accounts, infatuated couples, and curious tourists. The kitchen produces contemporary cuisine on a high level.
