The Bic Company ranks 9th on the list of the largest pen manufacturers in the world. This French-origin company is one of the finest pen brands in the world, manufacturing and selling lighters, pens, and shaving items. Initially, the pen brand produced pencil covers and pen holders, but Bic eventually obtained a ballpoint pen patent and began producing stainless steel balls that were required for the tip of a pen. Soon after, the pen brand debuted its first product, the Bic Cristal ballpoint pen, using Swiss tools.

With the support of 25 factories throughout the world, Bic has expanded its product footprint globally. The Bic gel pen and Bic ballpoint pen (like the Bic 4 Color pen, which allowed users to change the color of the inks without changing the pen), Bic lighters, Bic razors, Bic phone, Bic grooming line, Bic ReVolution (a line of stationery products), and tattoo brand Inkbox were all important product offerings.
