Pilot Corporation is a Japanese manufacturer of writing equipment such as fountain pens, ballpoint pens, and mechanical pencils. The company was founded in 1918 and has since become one of the largest pen manufacturers in the world. Pilot is well-known for its inventiveness and has been at the forefront of pen technology for many years. The business was the first to create the retractable ballpoint pen as well as the use of gel ink in pens.
