Big Cedar Lodge
Big Cedar Lodge, located south of Branson and built by Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris, is more than just an outdoor playground. It was created with the intention of generating revenue for Morris' home state, and he has succeeded admirably. The hotel frequently appears on "Best of" lists, including Golf Magazine's Best Hotel for Families. Apart from the hotel's five golf courses, one of which is Tiger Woods' only public option in the United States, the hotel also offers fishing, boating, hiking, and access to Dogwood Canyon Nature Park, a 10,000-acre nonprofit wildlife nature park.
Guests can choose from a variety of accommodations, including family cottages. The Lodge's rooms are well-appointed and rustically chic. If you see a deer head on the wall, don't be surprised. At the main hotel, there are three types of lodge rooms, and you'll need to spend some time on the hotel's website to find the best one. The smallest room, the Spring View, is 250 square feet, while larger rooms include kitchenettes, sleeper sofas, and sitting areas.
