Bikku Bitti
The first one in Top 3 Highest Mountains in Libya that Toplist would like to introduce to you is Bikku Bitti. At 2,266 meters, Bikku Bitti, also known as Bette Peak, is Libya's highest peak (7,434 ft). It's near the Chadian border on the Dohone spur of the Tibesti Mountains in southern Libya. The Tibesti Mountains are a mountain range in the central Sahara, mostly in Chad's extreme north, with a small portion in southern Libya. Emi Koussi, the highest peak in the range, is located to the south and stands at 3,415 meters (11,204 feet), making it the highest point in both Chad and the Sahara.
The mountain's coordinates are 22°0′13′′N 19°12′24′′E. Bikku Bitti is located in one of the most remote and difficult-to-reach areas of the Sahara Desert.
Ginge Fullen and his Chadian guides climbed it in December 2005, approaching from the Chadian side. Despite the fact that they were not the first to summit the mountain—"there were a number of cairns on top we could clearly see," according to Fulllen—it was the first documented climb.
