Blue Origin

Blue Origin was founded in 2000 by another notable billionaire Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon. As a privately funded aerospace manufacturer, Blue Origin aims to make space lights available to private citizens in the world. The company mainly operates in the field of Space Exploration, Space launch vehicles, Rocket engine development.

Over the years, Blue Origin has collaborated with NASA, DARPA, United Launch Alliance, and the United States Space Force. Most recently, Blue Origin has moved into the orbiting technology business and successfully launched the Charon low-flying vehicle. In 2021, Orbital Reef is the name given to the planned low Earth orbit (LEO) space station designed led by Blue Origin and Sierra Space, was selected by NASA for a funded Space Act Agreement for collaboration to design a commercially owned and operated space station in low Earth orbit (LEO).
