BMW

Founded in 1916 and headquartered in Munich, Bavaria, BMW (short for Bayerische Motoren Werke AG) is a German multinational producer of premium automobiles and motorcycles. The company started out in 1917 making airplane engines, and it continued doing so from 1918 to 1933 and again from 1933 until 1945. BMW, Mini, and Rolls-Royce are marketed as automobile brands, whereas BMW Motorrad is marketed as a motorcycle brand. The Isle of Man TT and other touring car and sports car races are particularly vital to the company's motor-sports heritage.

BMW was one of the first firms to join the National Environmental Achievement Track, an initiative of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that honors top businesses for their commitment to environmental sustainability. It is also involved in the Environmental Excellence Program of South Carolina. BMW has been ranked as the most sustainable automaker by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index every year since 1999. Every year, the BMW Group is included as one of three automakers in the ranking. With a perfect score of 100 on the Carbon Disclosure Project's 2012 Global 500 list, BMW topped all other automakers. In 2012, Sustainalytics named the BMW Group the most sustainable firm in the DAX 30.

BMW's products are the company's primary competitive advantage and primary source of revenue growth. When it comes to consumers deciding whether or not to purchase a vehicle in BMW's pricing range, the quality of the product is likely to be the deciding factor. BMW automobiles are known for their exceptional quality and attention to detail. In reality, the BMW group has created the ideal click for car doors. Not too heavy, not too light; just right! Its quiet but discernible click offers its users a feeling of security, confidence, and accuracy.
