Book of Fish

After 4 years of absence, finally, witch director Lee Joon Ik, the father of many classic films such as Sado, Dong Ju: Portrait Of The Poet, Hope, King And The Clown, ... has returned with the work next, The Book Of Fish. The film revolves around the journey of composing The Book Of Fish and the love and friendship of Jeong Yak Jeon and Chang Dae.

Jeong Yak Jeon (Sol Kyung Gyu) is exiled to Heuksando at the end of the world. The curious Jeong Yak Jeon was fascinated by the marine life in that place and decided to write a book. He then asks Chang Dae (Byun Yo Han), a young fisherman who knows the sea well, to help, but Chang Dae immediately refuses to say that he cannot help criminals.

After learning that Chang Dae is having difficulty learning kanji, Jeong Yak Jeon offers to exchange knowledge and Chang Dae agrees. The two quarreled while gradually becoming teachers and friends. But the joy did not last long when Jeong Yak Jeon learned the truth that Chang Dae studied hard just to be famous, so he was very disappointed. As for Chang Dae, he also found himself on a different path from Jeong Yak Jeon, so he was determined to leave his grandfather and step out into the world.

The Book Of Fish is not only a work marking the return of director Lee Joon Ik but also an opportunity for fans to meet Sol Kyung Gyu and Byun Yo Han again after a long absence shadow. In addition, this is the second film by director Lee Jook Ik using black and white tones, after Dong Ju: Portrait Of The Poet, so his fans and experts are extremely looking forward to it. The film is expected to be released in February 2021 after the previous postponement.
