Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Co-operative

Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Co-operative was founded in 1987 and is still going strong after thirty years. Boomalli has been promoting the founding artist members' original objectives since 1987 by giving continuous support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists so that they can exhibit, define, and promote Aboriginal art under Aboriginal-endorsed guidelines.

Euphemia Bostock, Fiona Foley, Michael Riley, Tracey Moffatt, Jeffrey Samuels, Bronwyn Bancroft, Avril Quaill, Fern Martens, Arone Meeks, and Brenda L. Croft are among the founders of Boomalli. These 10 artists were striving for mainstream art society's notice, and their diversity was unparalleled. They challenged preconceptions about urban-based Aboriginal artists and built out a distinct place for themselves in the art world.
