BTS
The Bangtan Boys, popularly known as BTS, is a seven-member boy band formed by Big Hit Entertainment. With the song "No More Dream" from their debut album 2 Cool 4 Skool, BTS made their public debut on June 12, 2013. "Wing" was the BTS's first album to reach a million sales mark in South Korea.
By 2017, BTS had established themselves in the international music market, bringing the Korean Wave to America and setting a number of sales records. They were also the first Korean group to receive a certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for their song "Mic Drop". BTS is the first Korean act to top the Billboard 200 with their studio album "Love Yourself: Tear". They also hit the top of the U.S. charts with their albums "Love Yourself: Answer" and "Map of the Soul: Persona", making BTS the first group since The Beatles to earn three number one albums in less than a year.
