Busan Foreign School

Busan Foreign School is an international school with an educational philosophy and curriculum based on the American model. In October of 1996, Busan Foreign School opened its doors. At this time, they're educating approximately 250 students from 25 different countries. The curriculum has evolved into a rigorous, standards-based American program that provides students with a diverse range of courses and activities. To fully serve all student learning styles, Busan Foreign School offers additional student support services. Over 95% of the teaching staff is certified in either the United States or Canada, and all employees and administrators are schooled in the most up-to-date research on best educational techniques. All classroom instruction is guided by the Common Core curriculum and other national standards-based in the United States. Employees are expected to continue their professional development. They use their education to teach Advanced Placement courses in math, science, English, humanities, languages, and the arts at the secondary level.

Busan Foreign School seeks to provide a well-balanced academic, athletic, and artistic program. They feel that both academic and extracurricular activities are equally crucial in molding the students into world-class citizens.

Busan Foreign School is devoted to continuing its great heritage of delivering a nurturing, yet demanding academic experience for all learners, with a new facility and grounds that opened in the fall of 2013 - including a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) tower. ISS, Search Associates, KORCOS, EARCOS, NHS, NJHS, and the National Association of Student Councils are all members of BFS.
