Korea International School
Korea International School (KIS) is a non-sectarian, private, proprietary, non-profit school. In addition, KIS is a WASC accredited school (Western Association of Schools and Colleges). They provide a comprehensive education in humanities, foreign languages, engineering, arts, math, and science using both traditional and innovative teaching approaches, with an emphasis on providing internationally-minded applied learning opportunities, as a high-performing college preparatory school.
KIS was started by a small group of students in the Gangnam neighborhood of southern Seoul in the year 2000. Their new campus, which opened in August 2006 in the Pangyo/Bundang area, was a watershed moment in their school's history. Since its founding, the membership of KIS has risen year after year. In 2018, the KIS community celebrated the graduation of its 1000th graduate, and they are incredibly proud of their creative, smart, and philanthropically motivated graduates, who are studying and working in nations all over the world. Both their Seoul and Pangyo campuses are well-equipped to offer cutting-edge multidisciplinary study opportunities in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics (STEAM). Winter and summer programs are also available at KIS, with an emphasis on hands-on learning.
