Seoul International School
Seoul International School (SIS) has three levels: elementary (K–5), middle (grades 6–8), and high school (grades 9–12). (9-12). It is a highly academic institution whose objective is to provide students with a challenging and engaging American curriculum. Seoul International School (SIS) was the first international school to be legally recognized and approved by the Republic of Korea Ministry of Education when it first opened its doors in 1973. Five years later, in 1978, the first high school graduation ceremonies were held. Seoul International School was originally accredited by the Western Association of School and Colleges (WASC) in California in 1979, the school's sixth year of existence, and they've been fully accredited every six years since then. Seoul International School is known for generating outstanding graduates who go on to study at some of North America's most prestigious colleges and universities.
SIS offers 19 advanced placement (AP) classes designed to simulate college-level rigor in a high school context. It is a high-quality educational institution that offers pupils a strong academic program, excellent fine arts, and a variety of extracurricular activities. The campus is advantageously located on Seoul's southeastern boundary, in the direction of Seongnam City, about twenty-five minutes south of Lotte World, the Jamsil subway station, and Olympic Park. Seoul International School continues to grow and expand in order to suit the demands of the ex-pat population in Seoul.
