Cabrits National Park
Cabrits National Park is on a peninsula in the north of the Caribbean island of Dominica. The park protects the tropical forest, coral reefs, and wetlands with hiking trails and an English garrison called Fort Shirley. Cabrits National Park exploration 1,313 acres, it was established in 1986. Cabrits is the last stop on the Waitukubuli Trail which originates in the southern village of Scott's Head.
Cabrits park’s highlight is the site of 18th-century Fort Shirley, where 600 British troops were once housed. Today, the old officer's quarters have been renovated and repurposed as an event center. In addition, it is also used for Weddings, Concerts, the annual Dominica Jazz 'n' Creole Festival, and other events are held here. Roaming the surrounding jungle, exploring other parts of the fort's ruins on short, easy hikes, and enjoying dazzling views of Prince Rupert Bay from the event center are one of the most popular suggestions that visitors often do when coming here.
