Camp Bob Waldorf
The Jewish Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Los Angeles host Camp Bob Waldorf. The summer-long initiative aims to give youngsters in low-income communities a safe and welcoming space where they can engage and have fun. Everybody will enjoy the incredible variety of activities at this camp. Here, you may find anything from archery and arts and crafts to water sports and movies. To add variety to their daily schedules, campers can select from a variety of extra courses. This covers skiing, water polo, and many other sports.
At Camp Bob Waldorf, a typical day begins with assembly and announcements, followed by a short breakfast and cabin rotations till noon. The remainder of the evening is spent participating in elective activities before campers retire to their cabins for the night while teachers keep vigil over them. Children entering grades 4 through 12 are welcome to attend this camp, which has activities and schedules divided up by age range. Families can receive financial aid, which makes life easier for parents of various socioeconomic backgrounds. A nice spot to search for camps in the summer is Catalina Island, which is about one hour by boat from Los Angeles.
