Cheese in the Trap
Cheese in the Trap is a South Korean television series adapted from a webtoon starring Park Hae-jin, Kim Go-eun, Seo Kang-joon, and Lee Sung-kyung. From 4 January to 1 March 2016, it aired on the cable network tvN on Mondays and Tuesdays for 16 episodes. The series is based on the same-named webtoon, which was serialized on Naver Webtoon from 2010 to 2016, though it featured an alternate ending because the webtoon had not yet been completed at the time of filming. The drama centers on the lives and relationships of a group of university students, particularly the difficult relationship between Hong Seol (Kim Go-eun), a hardworking scholarship student, and Yoo Jung (Park Hae-jin), a deceptive senior.
Cheese in the Trap proved popular in both South Korea and China. It became the most expensive cable series when it was sold to China for $125,000 per episode. It received praise for its realistic depiction of university students' lives. Yoo Jung, Seol's senior, is played by Park Hae-jin in this film. He is attractive, intelligent, and successful, but he has a dark side to his personality. He can be cold or manipulative at times, and he has difficulty forming relationships with others because he is unsure that they are not using him for his money. He is, however, attracted to Seol. Park Hae-jin was named Best Artist at the 1st Asia Artist Awards.
