China Telecom Corporation Limited ("China Telecom" or "Company", a joint stock company incorporated in the People's Republic of China with limited liability, together with its subsidiaries, collectively referred to as "Group") is a large-scale and leading corporation in the world of information service operators, providing mobile and wireline telecommunications services, Internet access services, information services and other services mainly in the People's Republic of China. By the end of 2020, the company has about 351 million mobile subscribers, about 159 million wired broadband subscribers and about 108 million service access lines. The company's H shares and A shares are listed on the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Limited ("Hong Kong Stock Exchange" or "HKSE") and Shanghai Stock Exchange ("SSE") respectively.

In November 2020, the company pioneered the commercialization of standalone 5G (SA) scale and custom 5G network deployment and lead the industry to launch a 5G cloud mobile phone, named “e-Surfing One”.
