Choco Pie
The history of Choco Pie dates back to 1971 in the southern United States. The owner of the Chattanooga bakery at the time asked a miner what snack he most wanted to eat. The miner then described the dish as a combination of graham crackers and marshmallow. The owner of the bakery went back to his shop and created the miner's favorite dish, which he named it "moon pie" because, he said, the miner asked for the cake to be made "as big as the moon".
The first Choco Pie, officially produced in 1974 by Orion, was a combination of two layers of chocolate covered cake with a mashmallow filling. Although very simple, Choco Pie was quickly received. Choco Pie has also become increasingly popular since then. This dish is loved by both adults and children because of its low price and delicious taste from chocolate and sweet marshmallow filling.
Over time, Choco Pie became more and more popular, bringing the brand name "Orion Choco Pie" to all over the world. The name of this cake, "Choco Pie" is also gradually used as a typical noun to refer to a type of cake, not a proper name anymore.
