Jules Destrooper
Dubbed the "heart of Europe", Belgium is not only famous as a paradise of beers but also a land of cakes and chocolates, the most famous of which is the world's leading pastry brand - Jules Destrooper.
On August 8, 1885, Jules Destrooper wrote the history of the Belgian pastry industry in particular and the world's pastries in general with the birth of a small bakery named Jules Destrooper in the town of Lo, West Flanders. Perhaps he himself did not expect that, that small bakery would later become a world-famous cookie brand that was sought after by critics.
The year 1890: Jules Destrooper believes that "Variety is the spice of life". With this philosophy in mind, he began to produce cookies, which started with the introduction of Butter Crisp.
The year 1911: Jules Destrooper's Almond Thins Cookies won the gold medal at the 1911 Paris food fair.
1923: Jules Destrooper's Butter Crisp won a Gold medal at the Brussels food fair.
The year 2016 to present: The Jules Destrooper company is officially under the management of the Vandermarliere family. The cake flavor and Jules Destrooper brand name remain the same. Under the takeover of the Vandermarliere family, Jules Destrooper continues to launch the Raspberry Thins, Orange Thins, Almond Thins and Belgian Milk Chocolate product lines.
