Christian Bale

Christian Bale grew up in Pembrokeshire, Wales, and was born in 1974, on January 30. Bale began his career as a youngster and quickly established himself as among the most accomplished performers in the business. With a ballerina-mom and a sister who was an entertainer, it seems that acting is in his DNA. Even his grandpa was involved in the profession, serving as a stunt double for the famous John Wayne in 1962's Hatari!

Christian made his Terminator Salvation debut in 2009 and acted in Public Enemies, a thriller about gangster John Dillinger. In 2011, the actor won both Golden Globe and Academy Awards for portraying a former welterweight fighter, Dicky Eklund, in David O. Russell's The Fighter (2010). He later reunited with Nolan for The Dark Knight Rises, the last chapter of the Batman trilogy (2012).
