Coco

Located in the north-west of Gabon, near to the same-named town. The northern end of the beach sits at the mouth of the Muni River, from where a ferry to neighboring Equatorial Guinea departs.

Coco was formerly an inconspicuous tiny fishing hamlet, but it is now one of Gabon's most promising tourist attractions, due to the nearby Crystal Mountains nature reserve. Another attraction of Coco is its spectacular beaches, which are bordered by an emerald necklace of exotic palm trees and mangroves. This is a veritable paradise for lovers of pristine environment, where every true connoisseur of beach vacations wishes to be.

The beach lacks typical infrastructure, with all facilities concentrated in a few nearshore eateries. There are also sun loungers and umbrellas for hire, which may be exchanged for food and beverages. Water rides, open-sea fishing, and diving cruises to small deserted islands in the Gulf of Guinea are among the activities available.
