Loango

It is located on Gabon's west coast and is part of the Loango National Natural Reserve, which is known as the "Pearl of Africa." A massive coastline of nearly a hundred kilometers in length is covered with white sand and flanked by deep vegetation abounding with exotic animals.

Elephants, buffaloes, monkeys, leopards, and hippos may be seen on the beach during the day, while crocodiles make brief visits to the water's edge at night. Four species of endangered sea turtles lay eggs in the smooth, warm sand throughout the winter, and dolphins and humpback whales swim into the coastal waters from July to September.

Loango National Park has been designated as a tourism zone that does not harm the region's ecosystem. This means you can only get there as part of an excursion tour, which can be bought at any travel agency in Libreville, Igela, or other important tourist areas. It is preferable to apply ahead of time because the number of visits may be limited owing to seasonal movement of birds.

These areas have a typical tropical monsoon climate with a protracted rainy season. As a result, the ideal months to visit Libreville's environs are from June to August, when the quantity of precipitation is limited, the air heats up to 30 degrees, and the water in the ocean warms up to 25 degrees.
