Filipinos are professionals at organizing street parties, and they do it in vibrant colors and elaborate costumes. In the Philippines, celebrations are known as fiestas and can be either religious, historical, or cultural. Ati-Atihan Festival, which is held in Kalibo, Aklan, every January in honor of the Santo Nio, is one of the religious celebrations (Child Jesus).
