Copenhagen has been on a long and difficult path toward zero pollution for more than 15 years. Their desire to breathe pure air drives their efforts to maintain their city clean. Copenhagen has been separated into several environmental zones, with areas receiving more pollution receiving more care, under the leadership of Environment Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.
Furthermore, the city has implemented many efforts to reduce air and environmental pollution. Particle filters are required on all diesel cars, as well as industrial plants with furnaces, to reduce hazardous emissions. The city of Copenhagen does an excellent job of not just keeping the streets clean but also ensuring that everyone in the city breathes fresh and quality air.
