Coquimbo region

Coquimbo's coastline has a lot of diving sites worth visiting. There are 58 kilometers of quiet, warm water ready to be explored, with visibility exceeding 30 meters in most dive areas. With several dive centers, instructors, and beach hangouts, this is an ideal location for beginning divers seeking PADI certification. La Serena, Chile's second-oldest city, is a fantastic location to start. Coquimbo's shoreline is laid-back, with little activities other than beaches, diving, and some of the best seafood in the country. It is one of the best dive sites in Chile

Coquimbo diving sites
: First, try the dive resort of Las Tacas, which is only a short drive from La Serena. Begin with Las Catedrales, a submerged mountain range with lava tunnels and walls. Giant jellyfish (from December to February), sea lions, and schools of fish are among the aquatic species found here. Try the 15m tunnel crossing of La Caverna if you want something more advanced. Try Guanaqueros next. Barnes Bay provides year-round diving at this fisherman's cove, with six diving locations suited for divers of all abilities. End your diving adventure in Pichidangui, where you may observe corals, starfish, and dolphins.
