Juan Fernandez Archipelago
The volcanic origins of the Juan Fernandez Archipelago have created an unusual underwater environment, with mountains, oases, and a diverse range of aquatic life. These islands are within a two-hour plane ride from Valparaiso and are home to sea lions, tropical fish, and Magellanic penguins. Tour providers and dive specialists may be found on Robinson Crusoe Island. The water temperature in the archipelago reaches a comfortable 20 degrees Celsius between December and March, making it the optimum time to visit. This place deserves to be one of the best dive destinations in Chile.
Juan Fernandez diving sites: There are numerous great diving spots all around Robinson Crusoe Island. The aquatic life is the main draw for most dives here. Keep an eye out for the Juan Fernandez fur seal, scorpionfish, sea urchins, and other water creatures.
