Corn Islands
Travel to the Corn Islands for an adventure that is genuinely off the beaten path. Enjoy the tranquility of empty beaches, low-cost meals, and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Stay in an eco-friendly hotel that lacks air conditioning and running water but is well-equipped for your every need while you are there. A stay at one of the local guesthouses is a terrific choice if you are searching for a truly unique Nicaraguan experience.
The Corn Islands are a small, undeveloped island series off Nicaragua's coast. They are reasonably priced and conveniently accessible from Managua. Although Big is only a six-hour bus journey away, it is recommended to stay on the smaller, more secluded islands unless you are on a tight budget. While the island's lodgings are basic and supplies are expensive, you may enjoy the tranquil ambiance and some of the best diving in the Caribbean.
Big and Little are the two main islands of the Corn Islands, which are located 70 miles off the coast of Nicaragua. They are dots on the surface of a turquoise sea, but they are worlds apart. Both islands are small and maybe explored in about two or three hours. The only drawback is that you will not be able to rent a car on the islands, so pack some cash.
