Laguna de Apoyo
Laguna de Apoyo is a perfect place to visit if you want to get away from it all in Nicaragua. This lake was proclaimed a nature reserve in 1991 and is located between the departments of Masaya and Granada. It is one of the country's 78 protected areas. The lake is a stunning, crystal-clear, and deep volcanic crater. The conic hole's lowest point is 100 meters below sea level, and its greatest point is barely 75 meters above it. The water is the cleanest in Nicaragua, and it is safe to drink. Fortunately, three park rangers are on hand to assist in the lake's protection. Even if you do not visit during the dry season, there are plenty of activities to keep you entertained.
Apoyo Lagoon Natural Reserve is a great place to visit if you enjoy nature. It is a fantastic spot for learning about Nicaragua's biodiversity.
