Cuisine
Cape Verde's cuisine is deserving of its own article. There is a vast range of large and not so large marine dwellers where Cape Verde is located. Of course, the local food reflects this. The excellent chefs of Cape Verde create the delicacies of the local waters — sawfish, tuna, and sea bass.
Also popular ingredients for cuisine are lobsters, barnacles, and octopuses. The major delicacy, in addition to fish dishes – "jagasida," stewed pig with cornflour, lamb stomach sausage "bochada," and local fast food – "devil pies," about the characteristics of which it is best to consult the local cooks.
Of course, the islands have a plethora of tropical fruit treats. They could go on indefinitely because each island's vegetation is very different. You could go on and on about the wonders of local winemaking, which are unlike anything else in the world, starting with the volcanic origins of the grape fields.
