Culver City Municipal Plunge — Culver City
The Plunge is actually Culver City's second swimming pool. The American Legion destroyed the first one by erecting a club house on top of it in 1929. In a poster created by Jeff Dorer for the Creative Action Network's See America series, the pool is shown. Because of its heated competition pool, diving board, and Olympic-size pool, locals adore this location (open to kids who can pass the swim test and are at least 48 inches tall). Anywhere in the pool area, children under 48 inches must be supervised by an adult who is 18 years of age or older, and the adult-to-child ratio must be one to one. Discounted passes are offered, but even the day rate (adults $4, children $3) is rather reasonable. Reservations are necessary for a 70-minute swim session.
Let the helpful and knowledgeable American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors help you and your swimmers achieve your next swimming objectives, whether you are looking for a place for you or your swimmer(s) to learn how to swim or just looking for a place for them to improve their stroke, endurance, and speed.
