Dairy Australia
Dairy Australia is the dairy industry's national organization in Australia, as well as a research and development organization (RDC). The Dairy Services Levy, a levy paid by farmers based on milk output, is the primary source of funding. It also serves as a vehicle through which the Australian government's Department of Agriculture distributes funds for rural research and development. Dairy Australia also receives financing from state governments, universities, research organizations, and other dairy support organizations on a project-by-project basis. The Dairy Research & Development Corporation was its previous name.
Its mission is to provide the greatest services in the globe in order to help the dairy business grow internationally, competitively, and sustainably.
Dairy Australia is involved in a variety of operations, which are overseen by four business groups:
- Profitability and Capability on the Farm
- Strategy and Trade
