Warrnambool Cheese & Butter

Warrnambool Cheese & Butter (WCB) is Australia's oldest dairy processor, having been in operation since 1888 and manufacturing high-quality dairy products for almost 125 years. WCB is the Dairy Division (Australia) of Saputo Inc. and is one of Australia's leading dairy processors.

WCB is at Allansford, near Warrnambool, on the Great Ocean Road in southwest Victoria, one of Australia's best dairy districts. Cheese, butter and butter mixes, milk, cream, and other dairy components are distributed by WCB under well-known brand names such as Sungold, COON, Cracker Barrel, 6 Mil Lel, and Great Ocean Road in Australia and to diverse consumers across the world. Domestic and export markets are well-balanced in terms of sales.

WCB employs over 800 people and is a key regional employer in Victoria's South West. A factory in Allansford is where manufacturing takes place. Separate cheese and other dairy product manufacturing facilities, as well as a cheese cut and wrap operation, are located on the property. WCB also has sales offices in Melbourne and Tokyo, as well as a specialist cheese cut and wrap business in Mil Lel, South Australia, just north of Mt Gambier.

Saputo purchased an approximate 88 percent stake in WCB in February 2014. Saputo Inc. completed the acquisition of WCB in February 2017 by successfully acquiring further shares.
