Demetria Devonne Lovato is a singer, songwriter, and actress from the United States. Following her appearances on the children's television show Barney & Friends, Lovato rose to prominence for her role as Mitchie Torres in the musical television film Camp Rock and its sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam; the former film's soundtrack included "This Is Me," Lovato's debut single and duet with Joe Jonas, which peaked at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100.
Demi Lovato began their career as an actress. It was time to take music seriously after acting in a few TV episodes and films. Demi recorded a movie replay for the film "Camp Rock" as their first song, rather than a single or an EP. It debuted at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100, and as a result, they signed with Hollywood Records and released their first album, Don't Forget, in 2008.
