Descente
Descente is a Japanese sportswear manufacturer based in Osaka. Takeo Ishimoto launched the company in 1935 with the goal of producing various types of sports clothes and accessories. Descente primarily sells skiwear and other skiing gear, as evidenced by the company's logo, which depicts the three basic skiing techniques: schuss, traverse, and side-slip.
At Descente, the whole ethos of craftsmanship is sustained by a large number of people. The designers' imagination develops a single concept image from the marketing team's initial notion. This serves as the foundation for a production process that begins with a more thorough design and the creation of paper patterns. There are numerous factors to consider while designing sportswear, including the type of pattern to use, how it should be sewn, and the manufacturing process. The transformation of the original, flat image into a real, three-dimensional product takes shape as it passes through the hands of specialists at each important stage of development.
