Founded in 1984, Disney Television Animation is part of Disney General Entertainment Content's Disney Branded Television animation production division, which is ultimately controlled by The Walt Disney Company.

This American animation production studio focused on creating films, television series, and other content for Disney Channels Worldwide. Some of the movies, such as DuckTales, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, and Timon & Pumba, were among the most successful cartoons of the late 1980s and 1990s.
