Walt Disney Animation Studios was established by Walt Disney and Roy O. Disney (brothers). Founded in October 1923, Walt Disney Animation Studios is considered the oldest-known animation studio on the planet. This American animation studio, also usually called Disney Animation, produces animated features and short movies for The Walt Disney Company. Steamboat Willie, the first sound cartoon, is featured in the company's production logo.


Ever since the debut of the highly acclaimed Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937, Walt Disney Animation Studios has started producing feature films. From that time, Walt Disney Animation Studios produced some of the most successful and famous animated movies of all time, including The Lion King and Aladdin.
