Founded in October 1923, Walt Disney Animation Studios is considered the oldest-known animation studio on the planet. This American animation studio, also usually called Disney Animation, produces animated features and short movies for The Walt Disney Company. Steamboat Willie, the first sound cartoon, is featured in the company's production logo.
