Doctor's Cave Beach
Doctor's Cave Beach is an appealing ribbon of white sand bordered by sparkling seas and is one of Montego Bay's top beaches.
This well-known beach was essential in determining the fate of this prominent tourist destination. After bathing here in the early 1920s, a prominent British osteopath stated that the water had healing qualities, luring tourists from all over the world. Hotels sprouted up, and the area became more popular as a tourist destination.
Although the eponymous cave was damaged by a hurricane in 1932, the beach remains popular - it's one of the top things to do in Montego Bay, and it's frequently filled with cruise ship passengers.
Today, sunbathers will enjoy Doctor's Cave Beach, one of Jamaica's top beaches, and Walter Fletcher Beach, a family favorite with its amusement park. The greatest snorkeling and diving may be found amid Montego Bay Marine Park's protected coral reefs.
