Dr Pepper
Dr. Pepper was named by Wade Morrison, the drug shop owner, after Dr. Charles Pepper, a Virginia doctor who was the father of a girl Morrison once loved. The drink's unusual flavor was a smash when it was originally sold in 1885 at Morrison's Old Corner Drug Store in Waco, Texas. At the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair, Dr Pepper was presented to millions of tourists and became an instant hit. The ice cream cone, hot dog rolls, and hamburger buns were among the other notable food products launched at the fair. Dr Pepper became one of America's most popular refreshment drinks after its launch.
Dr Pepper, which is still one of the world's most popular soft beverages, has always been unique, supporting ethnic programs to show its appreciation and dedication to diversity. Following the split of Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages (CSAB) from Cadbury Schweppes plc in 2008, Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Inc., the parent company of Dr Pepper and Dr Pepper/Seven Up, Inc., was formed. It manufactures, bottles, and distributes more than 50 brands of carbonated soft drinks, juices, teas, mixers, waters, and other premium beverages, making it one of North America's major refreshment beverage companies.
