Dubrovnik, Croatia
Dubrovnik, in southeast Croatia, is one of the most beautiful cities on the Dalmatian Coast and one of the top summer destinations in Europe. It's easy to see why it's been called the "Pearl of the Adriatic".
Surrounded by historic stone walls and dotted with orange-tiled roofs. It makes sense that this was chosen as one of the filming locations for the television series Game of Thrones. Summertime vacationers flock to Dubrovnik because of its old-world charm, appealing tourist sites (the view from Mount Srd is unrivaled), and well-liked day trips to the Elafiti Islands. And don't forget about the food; it's difficult to choose a bad restaurant. In addition to the numerous buildings from Game Of Thrones, such as the Gothic Rector's Palace, this city has many structures that date back to the 16th century. The Old Town is packed with eateries, shops, and tours, all of which are encircled by a magnificent stone wall with a number of apartments carved into its side. When you've had your fill of sightseeing, jump from a cliff, take a bath in the blue Adriatic Sea, or ride the cable car for a 360-degree view of the city and the water.
