El Barzon Restaurante
El Barzon Restaurante has been a staple of the city of Detroit since 2007. This restaurant is 3 miles from Little Cesar's Arena, Comerica Park, and Ford Field. They provide both traditional Mexican and traditional Italian meals. Chef/Owner Norberto Garita received his culinary training in Manhattan, New York, before going to Michigan to work at the fabled (now closed) Il Posto Ristorante Italiano. Chef Norberto was recently nominated for a James Beard Award for Best Chef of the Greater Lakes Region, where he will compete against well-known chefs from Chicago, Indiana, and Ohio. Chef Norberto and his crew try to provide the greatest hospitality and service possible.
The mission of El Barzon Restaurante is to deliver delicious, freshly prepared cuisine. They want to give you a unique experience that you will not find anywhere else in the world, let alone in Metro Detroit. They have merged the best of both worlds in terms of Italian and Mexican cuisine into one menu.
