English Modern School
Founded in 1991, The English Modern School Network, a division of the Almuftah Group of Companies, operates four private international schools situated in Al Wakra, Al Khor, and Doha.
The network is licensed by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) in the Private Education Sector and is affiliated with The Council of International Schools (CIS). It serves as an authorized center for The Cambridge University International Exams and Edexcel International. Moreover, the schools have earned accreditation from both NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) and QNSA (Qatar National Standards of Accreditation).
The English Modern School Network provides co-educational programs for students aged 3 to 18, representing over 55 nationalities. These schools adopt the Cambridge International Curriculum for their Primary and Secondary divisions.
The early years at KG1 & KG2 emphasize a hands-on learning approach, preparing students for the Cambridge Primary program. From Years 1 to 6, the Primary Schools start to follow the Cambridge Primary curriculum. Subsequently, the Secondary Schools employ the Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum for Years 7 to 9.
Moving forward, the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is available in Years 10 and 11, while Years 12 and 13 abide by the Cambridge Advanced curriculum. The Al Khor and Doha Campuses also offer the Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level curriculum in Year 12 and the Advanced (A) level curriculum in Year 13.
