Qatar International School
Qatar International School (QIS), founded in 1977, stands as one of the oldest and most esteemed British international schools in Qatar. Diversity thrives within QIS, with a student body representing over 70 nationalities. The school welcomes approximately 2,000 students, providing a centralized learning environment characterized by a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
QIS has earned recognition for its excellence in education. In 2015, the school received the highest rating from the Qatar National Schools Accreditation program. Notably, in 2020, the UK government's British School Overseas inspection awarded QIS an “outstanding” status across all categories, making it the third school globally to achieve this distinction. And that is not all; QIS is also the only accredited institution in the Middle East that offers teaching proficiency courses in collaboration with the renowned OLEV company.
The school follows a structured curriculum encompassing Early Years and Key Stages 1 through 5, leading to examinations in IGCSE, GCSE, and A Levels using UK examination boards. QIS alumni are consistently admitted to prestigious universities worldwide, particularly in the USA, UK, UAE, Canada, and Qatar. Since 2015, QIS students have achieved remarkable academic milestones, including seven 'Best in World' examination results at IGCSE and A Level.
