Escuela Bilingue Internacional
Escuela Bilingüe Internacional (EBI) is a bilingual school that teaches both Spanish and English. They welcome students from preschool to 8th grade and have campuses in Oakland's Rockridge neighborhood and Emeryville.
EBI is authorized by the International Baccalaureate to provide unique opportunities to its students. One of their strengths is their ability to foster students' natural curiosity, encouraging them to become lifelong learners.
In today's globalized world, being bilingual has many benefits. EBI believes that anyone can become multilingual and that knowing multiple languages opens up new opportunities. Their students not only learn to read and write in Spanish and English but also develop conversational skills in a third language.
At EBI, student development is a primary focus. They use inquiry-based teaching methods and set good examples to help students develop important qualities such as self-respect, kindness, integrity, compassion, cooperation, curiosity, empathy, enthusiasm, open-mindedness, respect for the planet, confidence, commitment, responsibility, and an understanding of privilege.
