Eye of the Emirates
Eye of the Emirates, a wheel that towers 200 feet into the sky, has recently relocated from one Sharjah location to another in the same city, known as Al Montazah Parks. Designed to be a tourist haven, the new location offers views of water parks and amusement rides, in addition to a drive of diverse and well-known markets. Dubai’s top attractions are mere minutes away, making the Eye a cool detour.
Since its opening in 2005, the Eye of the Emirates wheel has traversed its wheel for hundreds of millions of tourists, making it one of Sharjah's most instantly recognizable monuments. It contains 42 cabins and is 60 meters high. It has developed over the past 13 years into a key component of the emirate's aesthetic identity and a popular tourist attraction that is frequently highlighted in the media and on social media. The Eye of the Emirates is renowned for being a lighthouse for the countless celebrations Sharjah participates in and for having witnessed a wide range of events, from cultural and artistic to fun and family-friendly to commemorating important national holidays.
