Fairy tale canyon
Kyrgyzstan is rich in natural beauties and fascinating locations to explore. Kyrgyzstan offers several fairy tale canyons that you cannot escape their beauty, from the abundant water reserves to the magnificent range of mountains. When visiting Kyrgyzstan, you should try to explore some of the greatest canyons.
The maverlous panorama of Red Bridge Canyon or Konorchek Canyon gives a major glimpse of the unique environment in Kyrgyzstan. This is a great area to take a break between Bishkek and Issyk-Kul and get some fresh air. You may appreciate the beauty of red brick colored canyons including red Paleogene sand and clay rocks just around 2 hours driving from Bishkek. The canyon becomes increasingly green in the spring, and numerous flora thrive in the region. There are various blooming plants that are semi-desert species that flourish in highly arid environments.
Skazka Canyon is located just outside the settlement of Tosor, south of Issyk Kul Lake. The word "Skazka" literally means "fairy tale" in Russian. This stunning desert-like terrain has turned into an assortment of sculptures and forms as a consequence of thousands of years of ice, water, and wind erosion, with red spires of rock rising out of the soil and into the sky. It's a true fairy tale. This is especially true when compared to the rest of Kyrgyzstan. Skazka Canyon appears to be in its own planet and is without a doubt one of the nicest things to view in Issyk Kul.
