Hiking and trekking trails

Kyrgyzstan is surrounded nearly completely by mountains. Natural characteristics in these mountainous places include gorges, alpine lakes, picturesque valleys, waterfalls, and glaciers. The spectacular Tian Shan Mountains, with peaks above 7,000 meters, are located on the border with China and provide amazing experiences.

Khan Tengri, commonly known in Mongolian as "Lord of the Sky," is a gigantic pyramidal peak in the Tien Shan range with extraordinary geometric symmetry. It is situated at the crossroads of China, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. The ascension path to Khan Tengri is technically tough and physically demanding, requiring mountaineering expertise, high-altitude acclimatization, and great physical condition. Khan Tengri Peak is one of the top places to go trekking in Kyrgyzstan.

Kyrgyzstan is a delight for individuals who enjoy exploring trekking and admiring natural surroundings. Many people choose Ala Kul because of its magnificent surroundings, and Ala Kul Lake is regarded as Kyrgyzstan's exquisite raw pearl. There are several methods to travel to Ala Kul. The most common route is to walk from Karakol town to Ala Kul, spend one night at the lake, traverse the 3,900m high Ala Kul pass to the settlement of Altyn-Arashan, stay overnight, and then return. Return to Karakol or vice versa. You can begin in the Altyn-Arashan valley and ascend to Ala Kul before returning to Karakol.
