Famous for its beautiful Islands

Having such a broad selection of reasons to visit Greece means that there is certain to be something for everyone. Will you visit one of Greece's most famous islands or one of the more distant islands with less visitors? You can see as many as possible by renting a sailboat in Greece. Furthermore, the majority of Greek marinas do not charge for mooring, which means you can save a lot of money.

Santorini in winter is an excellent choice because it allows you to enjoy its beauty without the throng. Or how about Mykonos, Corfu, or Rhodes? Overtourism on certain of Greece's islands has prompted the country's tourism industry to focus on other islands that are less well-known. Spread the love by visiting Tinos, one of Greece's 33 Cyclades islands.

Tinos is more remote, but it retains its sandy beaches and white-washed structures. Those in the know say it has a foodie reputation, and you can sample Angela Rouggeri's malathouni cheese on Tinos. If you like the film Mamma Mia, you should visit the island of Skopelos, where much of the film was shot — you can even take a bus tour of all the Mamma Mia filming locations.
