Fiat

Fiat is an Italian car manufacturer that was part of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles before becoming a subsidiary of Stellantis through its Italian division Stellantis Italy in 2021. Fiat Automobiles was established in 2007 when Fiat S.p.A. reorganized its car business, and it can trace its roots back to the production of the first Fiat automobile, the Fiat 4 HP, in 1899.

Fiat Automobiles is the biggest car manufacturer in Italy and was the largest in Europe and the third biggest in the world for over two decades until the car industry crisis in the late 1980s. In 2013, Fiat S.p.A. was the world's eighth-largest automaker, and FCA was the seventh-largest European automaker by volumes produced.

Fiat-brand cars are manufactured in several locations worldwide, with Brazil being the largest country of production outside Italy. The group also has factories in Argentina, Poland, and Mexico, where Fiat-brand vehicles are manufactured at plants owned and operated by Stellantis North America for export to the United States, Brazil, Italy, and other markets. Fiat has a history of licensing its product manufacture in other countries.

Over the years, Fiat Automobiles has received many international awards for its vehicles, including nine European Car of the Year awards, more than any other manufacturer. Fiat has also ranked multiple times as having the lowest level of CO2 emissions by vehicles sold in Europe. Additionally, Fiat has manufactured railway engines, military vehicles, farm tractors, aircraft, and weapons such as the Fiat–Revelli Modello 1914.
