Florida Justice Institute

The Florida Justice Institute (FJI) is a non-profit organization that protects the rights of people in Florida who often face difficulties. They focus on legal advocacy, which means they use the law to help people who might not be treated fairly. FJI is known for dealing with different issues, like problems in prisons, making sure people with disabilities are treated equally, and fighting against unfair housing practices.

In prisons and jails, FJI works to improve conditions, such as reducing overcrowding and ensuring inmates receive proper healthcare. They also fight for the rights of people with disabilities, making sure they have the same opportunities and access to services as everyone else.

FJI
is also involved in cases related to housing discrimination, working to ensure that everyone, no matter their background, has a fair chance at getting housing. They also advocate for making the criminal justice system fairer and addressing more significant issues that affect everyone's rights.

To support their work, FJI collaborates with lawyers and volunteers who offer their time for free. They also educate the public about their rights through events and partnerships with the community.
