FluentBe

FluentBe hires Polish and native English-speaking teachers to teach one-on-one or small group classes of up to four students. Adults and children are welcome to attend classes. The company looks for passionate instructors that are certified, have a college degree, and have at least one year of teaching experience.

FluentBe teaching takes done online through Zoom, either one-on-one or in groups of up to four students. While most FluentBe ESL classes are one-on-one with Polish adult professionals who already speak an intermediate level of English, the company also teaches children (from 7 years old), teenagers, and younger adults, with students from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Spain. You may choose which age groups to teach. As a FluentBe tutor, you will get access to Off2Class materials as well as teaching resources and lesson plans.

You will use Zoom to teach 2 real students at the intermediate (B1) level for the FluentBe demo. In addition to the interviewer, another Fluentbe member may join you to monitor you. While candidates have been told they have 5-10 minutes for their demo, some have experienced being cut off at the 5-minute mark, so anticipate finishing within that time span.

Hourly rate: From $10 to $12 USD an hour.
